The trip from Kalgoorlie to Perth is mostly a blur, with a quick stop in Coolgardie and a pleasant conversation with the women in the historic society offices there. We stopped for petrol in Southern Cross and arrived in Perth around 9pm. Luckily we had called ahead to the local Big 4 caravan park for a reservation...
In the morning we worked for a bit on the website, then packed up the pajero and headed into the city...driving right through the city center...we were both impressed with how clean a city it is...even though it was rainy and miserable weather. We drove to the north of the city to King's Park for these photos
downtown Perth

from Perth we headed southwest to Fremantle where we did a little window shopping

and sightseeing...look at the pickets on the railing below...soda pop bottles...really quite delightful...

and posing for the camera like a tourist...that's me holding the building up

From Fremantle we headed south along the Indian Ocean to Bunbury...Joel had a friend that he wanted to say hello to...we did that, went to the grocery store and bought a whole bunch of good food and headed back to camp...doing laundry, organizing the pajero and having a stir-fry meal that couldn't be beat....
An emergency had arisen and Joel found that he had to go back home immediately...we would have to postpone the rest of the trip...a look on the bright side, however, we got to experience the great and equally infamous Nullarbor Plain and the Great Australian Bight...neither of which had been our original agenda...
We left Bunbury in the morning...and arrived in Mt. Gambier, SA 38 hours later...seeing some incredible scenery on the way...and lots and lots of kangaroos...
This petrol station was closed, but they had the bowsers equipped with computers to allow us to pump petrol anytime...24/7
We encountered these young goana's near their nest on the side of the road whilst in the Frank Hann National Park

After refueling in Norseman, we headed east again toward the Nullarbor Plain and the Great Australian Bight
No Worries...It's all Good!!!!
